Shabana FC delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Kakamega Homeboyz 4-1 in a high-octane FKF Premier League showdown at Gusii Stadium.

The emphatic victory snapped Shabana’s four-match winless streak, reigniting their campaign in spectacular fashion. The breakthrough came in the 32nd minute when Elvis Osok fired the hosts ahead. New signing Oscar Juma doubled the lead in the 65th minute before sealing his brace 11 minutes later, leaving Homeboyz reeling. Brian Michira added the final flourish in the 86th minute, cementing a commanding win. Kakamega Homeboyz managed a late consolation through Henry Omollo, but the damage had already been done.
The victory lifts Shabana to sixth place with 33 points. Head coach Peter Okidi hailed his team’s resilience, crediting the win to their hunger to bounce back from previous setbacks. Meanwhile, Homeboyz boss Francis Baraza took responsibility for the loss, vowing swift tactical adjustments.
Tusker, Bandari Locked in Stalemate
Elsewhere, Tusker FC and Bandari FC battled to a goalless draw in a gripping clash at Mbaraki Stadium. Despite both teams creating clear-cut chances, neither could find the net in a contest defined by solid defensive displays and missed opportunities.

Bandari nearly grabbed an early lead when Izzadin Ramadhan struck the post in the sixth minute. Tusker responded with relentless pressure, but efforts from Erick Balecho, David Odoyo, and Ojok Deogratious all fell short. The hosts suffered a blow when top scorer Beja Nyamawi limped off injured, forcing veteran striker John Mark Makwata into action.
In the second half, substitute Wily Gitama squandered a golden chance for Bandari, while Tusker’s late push saw Dennis Wanjala fluff a last-gasp opportunity.
