Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati has dismissed claims by a woman who presented herself as his biological mother after DNA test results confirmed she has no maternal link to the artist.

The emotional moment unfolded when the medical team read the results to both parties, revealing that the “probability of maternity is zero percent.” Upon hearing the verdict, the woman, identified as Judith Makoha, reportedly broke down in tears.
According to Bahati, the test was conducted on February 27, 2026, after Makoha publicly claimed to be his mother, forcing the singer to seek scientific verification to establish the truth.
Bahati maintained that his real mother, Lucia Mueni, died about two decades ago. He said he personally attended her burial and has long known the location of her grave.
“I buried my mother and saw her laid to rest,” Bahati stated, insisting the claims had deeply disturbed him and his family.
The doctor who oversaw the procedure explained that the DNA analysis conclusively ruled out maternity, leaving no biological connection between the two.
Beyond the emotional fallout, the results also meant that Makoha lost a cash reward that had reportedly been promised if the test proved she was indeed the singer’s mother.
For Bahati, however, the outcome brought what he described as a sense of closure and relief, affirming that his late mother remains the woman he mourned years ago.
Despite the dramatic revelations, some of the singer’s followers online have expressed skepticism, suggesting the entire episode could be scripted content designed to generate publicity or promote a future project.
The singer has yet to respond directly to claims that the saga may have been staged.
