The spirit of giving filled Manyatta Primary School on Friday, December 20, as Kisumu Central MP Dr. Joshua Odongo Oron distributed early Christmas hampers to hundreds of families in his constituency.
Dr. Oron, affectionately known as “Wuon Dollar” by his constituents, expressed his commitment to sharing love and unity during the festive season. “Christmas can be a challenging time for many families. It is our duty as leaders to extend kindness and ensure no one feels left behind,” he said.
The hampers, containing staples such as maize flour, rice, sugar, and cooking oil, brought smiles and relief to residents, some of whom faced financial hardships.
“A Leader Who Cares”
Residents praised Dr. Oron for his generosity, describing his act as one of high dignity and kindness. “We are grateful to our MP for always thinking of us, especially during the festive season,” said a local beneficiary.
Women groups in attendance pledged their support for Dr. Oron as he sets his sights on the Kisumu gubernatorial race in 2027. “He has stood with vulnerable families, and we will stand with him,” one woman declared.

Dr. Oron reiterated his commitment to all families in Kisumu Central. “Every family matters. By coming together, we celebrate unity and love, which are the true essence of Christmas,” he said.
