Mr. Dismus Mukua emerged as the overall winner of this year’s Kenya Air Force Golf Club Championship final, delivering a commanding performance at Moi Air Base in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

Mukua displayed exceptional composure and precision to outplay defending champion Major Don Tororei, as well as Fredrick Wagura and Patrick Kinywa, who finished as second and third runners-up, respectively, in a fiercely contested finale.

The seven-month championship, sponsored by Vivo Energy Kenya, drew participants from several clubs across the country, including Thika Barracks, Kisii Golf Club, and Ruiru Sports Club, underscoring its growing stature on Kenya’s competitive golf calendar.

Speaking during the awards ceremony, Vivo Energy Kenya Commercial Manager Mark Senteu said the partnership reflects the firm’s long-term commitment to community development through sport.

“Our collaboration with the Kenya Air Force Golf Club reflects our vision of creating sustainable impact within the communities we serve. By sponsoring this tournament, we aim to deepen our connection with our customers while supporting the growth of talent across all levels of the game,” Senteu said.

Club Chairman Col. Evans Oduma lauded the energy company for its sustained backing over the past three years, noting that the partnership has significantly elevated the tournament’s profile.

“We appreciate Vivo Energy Kenya for partnering with us for the last three years, and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future,” Oduma said.

In other categories, Dr. Ayub Shitesewa clinched the Guest title ahead of Martin Kiambi of Ruiru Sports Club and Joel Muchanga of Thika Barracks. Anita Nyaguto was crowned Junior champion, while Brigadier Wesonga took the Senior category honors.

Captain Joy Njangi secured the Ladies’ title, Major Wafula Bwire won the Men’s category, and Harun Wanyama claimed the Gross winner award.

Vivo Energy Kenya, the marketer of Shell products in Kenya, has partnered with the Kenya Air Force Golf Club for three consecutive years, steadily transforming the championship into a premier platform for nurturing emerging golf talent nationwide.
