Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has officially been installed as the Ambassador of the Kenya Scout Movement in a colourful Investiture and Installation Ceremony held on Thursday at the Rowallan National Scouts Camp in Nairobi.

Speaking during the event, Kenya Scouts Chief Commissioner Victor Radido lauded Dr. Omollo as a man of integrity and an exemplary public servant who embodies honesty, transparency, and dedication to public service.

“The entire nation will today witness this inspiring moment that will motivate countless young people across the country. Thank you, Bwana PS, for honouring your word,” said Radido.
“Personally, I have followed your work since your appointment to the ministry, and I can confidently say that you truly embody the values and spirit we deeply cherish. When it comes to integrity, we have never seen your name mentioned anywhere for the wrong reasons. When it comes to honesty, you are very transparent in the manner you do your things.”

Radido praised Dr. Omollo for his outstanding leadership and humility, noting that he respects people of all ages and remains steadfastly loyal to the Head of State.

“Everywhere the PS visits, he works with people, young and old alike, and listens to them. Unlike many leaders, he has never uttered any vulgar word. He is a true servant of the people,” added Radido.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Omollo said the appointment underscores the shared values between the Ministry of Interior and the scouting fraternity, service, discipline, patriotism, and community engagement.

“I am honoured to join the Kenya Scout Movement as Ambassador. This role underscores the shared values of service, discipline, patriotism, and community engagement that both the Ministry and the Scouting fraternity espouse,” said Dr. Omollo.
“The Scouts’ ideals of duty to God, duty to others, and duty to self mirror the principles that guide our work in fostering a safe, secure, and cohesive nation.”

He added that the collaboration between the Ministry and the Scouts would deepen civic responsibility, promote volunteerism, and strengthen community structures that support security and social order across the country.

“Harnessing the Scouts’ extensive grassroots presence offers an exceptional avenue to entrench our national values and deepen civic consciousness. Their programmes in leadership training, environmental stewardship, and volunteerism already complement our broader youth empowerment and security agenda,” he said.

Dr. Omollo further noted that Scout Peace Ambassadors, working alongside National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs), will play a vital role in advancing peacebuilding and civic education across the nation.

“Through this partnership, the Scouts will complement government efforts in fostering social cohesion, nurturing patriotism, and empowering communities with knowledge on civic responsibility, conflict resolution, and national values,” he added.

The event was also attended by Chief Scout Ambassador Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi and other senior officials from the Kenya Scouts Association.
