Renowned Benga musician Atomy Sifa has launched a scathing attack on former Homa Bay Chief of Staff Charles Odhiambo, accusing him of orchestrating his downfall in the music industry.

Sifa, whose real name is Tom Mboya Ang’ang’a, went public in a viral social media video, claiming Odhiambo; who was dismissed on March 28, 2025, over gross misconduct by Governor Gladys Wanga; personally ensured his music was blacklisted from Ramogi FM, a leading vernacular station under Royal Media Services (RMS).
According to Sifa, Odhiambo, during his tenure as the station’s head, wrote a directive barring his songs from being played. The singer claims this move effectively ended his career despite his hit song Achieng painkiller being instrumental in launching Ramogi FM.
This is the man who finished my career,” Sifa declared. “He wrote a memo banning my music and convened a meeting to enforce it. Yet, it was my song ‘Achieng painkiller ‘ that put Ramogi FM on the map when it was just starting.”
The musician further accused Odhiambo of bullying and intimidating Ramogi FM staff, alleging that presenters who defied the order and played his songs were fired.

Sifa also claims Odhiambo sabotaged his recognition by the Homa Bay County government, blocking him from receiving any official awards. Additionally, he alleged that Odhiambo sent a group of people to attack him, but he remains undeterred.
“I grew up on the streets and reformed. I won’t be intimidated,” he said.
Sifa, a household name in Benga music, gained massive popularity with hits like Achieng’ Painkiller, Obama, Aoko, Auma, Okundi, Oodudo, K’Ogalo, and Rais John Pombe Magufuli, a tribute to the late Tanzanian president.
His allegations have sparked heated debate, with many now demanding Odhiambo’s response to the accusations.
