One person has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Willis Onyango Ayieko, the Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo, who was found dead last week. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed on Tuesday that the suspect, Victor Ouma Okoth, was apprehended in Nairobi’s Dandora Phase Four on Monday night.

Authorities reported that Okoth, who had allegedly rented a hideout using proceeds from the crime, was linked to the scene through forensic analysis conducted by a joint DCI team. He is currently held at Muthaiga Police Station.
The investigation, led by DCI’s Homicide, CRIB, and Operations detectives, is ongoing as they pursue leads to capture any accomplices. Ayieko’s decomposed body, discovered by a student on October 23 in Yala, Siaya County, showed signs of trauma, indicating he may have been killed elsewhere before being dumped. His vehicle was later abandoned in Vihiga County, seemingly as a diversion.
Ayieko was last seen on October 18, attending a burial vigil in Gem, Siaya County, before vanishing. It has been reported that two Mpesa agents have been questioned, as the killers allegedly withdrew over Sh100,000 from Ayieko’s account across various locations in Siaya.
