Kisumu All Stars, popularly known as Otenga, fell to a narrow 2-3 loss against Nairobi United (Naibois) in a closely contested match at Moi Stadium on Sunday, November 10, 2024. The intense game saw both teams go head-to-head, with Kisumu’s head coach, Charles Carlo Bruno, attributing the loss to lapses in concentration during key moments.

Frank Ouya opened the scoring for Naibois, with Duncan Omalla and Brian Ogutu adding two more goals for the visitors. Kisumu’s Mike Karamor responded with a brace, managing to level the score at one point, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win for Otenga.
We lost focus at certain points, conceding early and again in the final moments when we needed to be most alert. I’m happy with our players’ discipline and effort despite the unfortunate outcome,” Bruno noted.
He also emphasized that his focus remains on the next game against Muhoroni and expressed gratitude to the home fans who showed up in numbers, saying their support is essential for the team’s morale and future success.

Naibois coach Edwin Mwaura praised his squad’s resilience and attitude throughout the game. “My players showed great character—champions are built from that,” Mwaura remarked, commending Otenga for their tough challenge on the field.

Kisumu All Stars CEO, Benjamin Oyugi Basole, highlighted that the team is well-supported by the Kisumu County Government and dismissed any notions of low morale among the players. He appealed to Kisumu’s fans for their full-hearted support, revealing that the club is actively building a solid fan base to strengthen its community ties.
With Kisumu All Stars gearing up for their upcoming clash against Muhoroni FC and Naibois preparing to face AP Bomet, both teams are eager to prove themselves further in the season ahead.
