Police in Homa Bay have arrested an alleged goon mobiliser and seven other men accused of obstructing officers during an operation to execute his arrest.

The operation took place at Homa Bay Bus Stage, where officers tracked down and arrested Kassim Abdi Sebo, who was wanted in connection with a warrant issued by the Homa Bay Law Courts on August 14, 2026.
However, the arrest took a dramatic turn when seven men accompanying the suspect allegedly attempted to obstruct the officers as they carried out their operation.
Police swiftly moved in and arrested the seven men, identified as Achiando Victor Odhiambo, Isaac Masika Muliro, alias Waigo, Oyeke Geoffrey Moses, Geoffrey Nchore, Odhiambo Wesley Arnold, alias Mwas, Joseph Kabira and Alfred Nyagino.
The eight suspects remain in police custody as officers complete the necessary processing ahead of their expected arraignment in court.
The suspects are yet to face trial, and the allegations against them remain unproven.
