All roads lead to Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Mamboleo on Sunday, June 7, as the lakeside city prepares to host renowned Nigerian televangelist Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome and Loveworld Global Fellowship President Dr. Daysman Oyakhilome for a mega prayer rally expected to draw thousands of worshippers from across the region.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, June 6, Pastor Joe Utibe, Director of Church Missions and Fellowship Ministry at Loveworld Global Fellowship (LGF) and Christ Embassy (CEF) Worldwide, described Kenya as a key nation in God’s prophetic agenda for Africa.
“Kenya occupies a very important place in God’s prophetic calendar. It is one of the strongest nations on the continent, and that is why God has chosen this nation for this apostolic visitation,” said Utibe.
He called on residents of Kisumu and neighbouring counties to turn up in large numbers for what he termed a life-changing spiritual gathering.
Utibe said the rally would not only bring spiritual renewal but also miracles and physical healing.
“We expect to witness extraordinary manifestations of God’s power. The lame will walk, the sick will be healed, and many lives will be transformed. This is not just about spiritual blessings but also tangible miracles,” he said.
To ease transportation challenges, Utibe announced that buses would ferry worshippers free of charge from various locations in Kisumu and Vihiga counties to the stadium.
He described the visit by Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome as prophetic, expressing confidence that the event would leave a lasting impact on the region and the country.
Joining the call, Full Gospel Churches of Kenya Bishop Charles Kokombo urged residents of Kisumu, Maseno, Homa Bay, Muhoroni, Mbale, Vihiga and surrounding areas to arrive at the stadium early for the prayer gathering.
“Kisumu and Kenya at large need divine intervention at this time. We have witnessed numerous challenges, including school fires and economic hardships. This prayer rally comes at a crucial moment and will benefit not only the people of Kisumu but the entire nation,” said Kokombo.
Earlier, Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o welcomed the visiting clergy upon their arrival at Kisumu International Airport, expressing gratitude for their decision to hold the prayer rally in the city.
The governor welcomed the delegation from Nigeria and said Kisumu was honoured to host the international religious leaders for the highly anticipated event.
Organisers expect thousands of faithful from across Kenya and neighbouring countries to attend the prayer rally, which they say will focus on national revival, healing, peace and spiritual renewal.
