Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo of attempting to sabotage his scheduled media appearance at Royal Media Services on Wednesday evening, alleging efforts to block his outreach to the Luo community.

Gachagua, now leader of the DCP party, claimed that Omollo was orchestrating a plan to cancel his interview and restrict broadcast access, including pressuring the Communications Authority of Kenya to switch off signals. He warned that such attempts would not succeed and urged the PS to allow the public to freely access his message.
“Mr. Raymond Omollo, stop trying to have my engagement with the Luo Nation cancelled. It will not work. Stop pressuring the Communications Authority to switch off signals and deny the Luo Nation the opportunity to listen to me,” Gachagua said.
He insisted that residents of the region should be allowed to hear diverse political views and make independent judgments, describing the community as educated and capable of scrutinizing issues critically.
“Allow the Luo Nation to listen to everybody and make an informed decision. This is a community of learned and intelligent people with a huge capacity to interrogate issues as presented to them and decide what is useful and what are lies,” he added.
Gachagua further cautioned Omollo against what he termed as belittling the community, saying no individual has the authority to determine who can or cannot address them.
The former deputy president is expected to appear on an evening interview on Ramogi TV and Radio Ramogi, both owned by Royal Media Services.
