Coca-Cola has revived its popular Shika Mzito (500ml) campaign in Nyanza and Western Kenya, rolling out a Christmas tour aimed at celebrating kindness, community connection and the festive spirit across the region.

The campaign, dubbed Tour ya Wazito, is designed to spotlight the warmth and generosity of communities in Western Kenya through immersive experiences, entertainment and the sharing of essential household goods that resonate with local traditions.

As part of the tour, Coca-Cola will host electrifying performances headlined by celebrated Benga musician Tony Nyadundo, bringing festive cheer directly to consumers of the iconic 500ml “Mzito” bottle. Community giveaways will include traditional Christmas staples such as goats, chicken, wheat flour and maize flour, alongside other local treats.

The Tour ya Wazito will traverse 10 counties in the two regions, with stops planned in Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Homa Bay, Siaya, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia and Vihiga.

The campaign draws inspiration from Coca-Cola’s global festive theme, “The World Needs More Santas,” encouraging residents to spread goodwill through small but meaningful acts of kindness during the holiday season.

“The people of Nyanza and Western Kenya are known for their strong community bonds,” said Weslene Orwoba, Senior Marketing Manager, Coca-Cola Kenya. “Coca-Cola’s iconic 500ml Mzito has always been part of these connections. The festive season is the perfect time for families and friends to come together, enjoy Mzito and create happy memories.”

The Shika Mzito campaign was first launched in April 2025 to recognise and reward the region’s unsung heroes, including farmers, fishermen, teachers, boda boda riders, artisans and football fans who uplift their communities in everyday ways.

Coca-Cola has maintained a long-standing presence in the region’s social and cultural life, supporting football celebrations with legendary teams such as Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz and Shabana FC, as well as community gatherings that strengthen local bonds.

As the festive season peaks, Coca-Cola is inviting Kenyan consumers to share their own “Santa moments”, whether through simple acts of care, shared laughter or small gestures of generosity, reinforcing its message of joy, kindness and togetherness this Christmas.
