Thousands gathered at Chavakali Boys High School in Vihiga County for a grand thanksgiving ceremony hosted by Senator Godfrey Osotsi, Deputy Party Leader (DPL) of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). The event brought together leaders from various political formations, including ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kisii Governor Simba Arati, and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.

Raila Odinga lauded Senator Osotsi’s leadership, expressing full confidence in his ability to deliver on his mandate.
“I have immense trust in Senator Osotsi’s leadership. He embodies the principles of our party and is committed to serving the people of Vihiga,” said Odinga.
The former Prime Minister also dismissed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s earlier remarks mocking him while seated in the deputy president’s chair. In a sharp retort, Odinga stated, “I may not reside in State House, but I can access it anytime I wish,” sparking laughter from the crowd.
Odinga further condemned tribalism in politics, calling it outdated and counterproductive.
“Those who are spreading politics of tribalism are living in the past,” he remarked.

He urged Kenyans to unite across ethnic lines to build a stronger, more prosperous nation.
Governor Simba Arati and Chairperson Gladys Wanga echoed Odinga’s sentiments, praising Senator Osotsi for his dedication to community unity and development. They pledged their continued support for his initiatives aimed at transforming Vihiga County.
The thanksgiving event highlighted ODM’s commitment to inclusive leadership and celebrated Senator Osotsi’s efforts in fostering unity and development in the region.
