The Luo community has been urged to support President William Ruto’s administration to access benefits and foster national development. Principal Secretary for Interior and National Coordination, Raymond Omollo, made the appeal during a burial ceremony in Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County, on Friday, January 10.

Omollo emphasized the importance of unity, calling on the community to rally behind the government and reject negative narratives about its leadership. He assured the community that President Ruto’s administration aims to serve the entire country equitably, expressing confidence in his re-election in 2027 and continued leadership until 2032.
“If God gives us more life, President Ruto will rule until 2032,” Omollo said, urging the community to disregard claims that the government is exclusionary. “Close your ears to those telling you that we’re not in this government,” he added.
Omollo highlighted key government achievements, including the availability of subsidized fertilizers, which he credited for eliminating the need to import maize and sugar. He encouraged farmers to utilize these resources to enhance food production ahead of the next planting season.

The PS also praised the rollout of the Taifa Care medical scheme, designed to alleviate healthcare burdens on families. He encouraged Kenyans to register for the program, assuring that it would lead to improved healthcare facilities nationwide.
“Be rest assured that our healthcare facilities will be improved to take care of your health,” he said.
Addressing education, Omollo urged parents to prioritize their children’s studies, particularly by enrolling them in universities and technical colleges following the release of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

The PS also called for solidarity in supporting community members serving in government positions, emphasizing their role in driving development.
“This government has brought us pride. Let’s not listen to any leader telling us that we’re not in this government,” he said.
Omollo concluded by calling on the Luo community to actively engage in government projects, stating that their involvement would unlock significant benefits for the region.
