Kuria East Member of Parliament, Marwa Kitayama, has called on the people of Nyanza to embrace President William Ruto’s leadership, describing it as an opportunity for unity and progress for all Kenyans.

Speaking in Kisumu during President Ruto’s recent visit, Kitayama praised the President’s inclusive governance style, emphasizing that his administration is committed to fostering national unity and delivering development across the country, irrespective of political or ethnic affiliations.
“President Ruto means well for all Kenyans,” Kitayama stated. “It’s time for Nyanza to change its political tactics and align with this regime to unlock opportunities and reap the benefits of national development.”
The MP highlighted a growing shift among some leaders and residents in the region, noting an increasing acceptance of the President’s leadership. This alignment, he argued, positions Nyanza to benefit from government initiatives and resources.
“We’re witnessing more people embracing loyalty politics under this administration. This is the path to ensuring Nyanza’s voice is heard and its interests are prioritized,” Kitayama said.
Kitayama’s remarks echoed President Ruto’s call for unity during his Kisumu address, where the Head of State stressed the importance of inclusivity and collaborative efforts for national progress.
The MP expressed optimism that embracing Ruto’s government would lead to enhanced investment, infrastructure projects, and economic growth for the region. He urged residents to seize the moment and actively participate in shaping a prosperous future by aligning with the government’s agenda.
As Kenya’s political landscape evolves, Kitayama’s message adds to the growing dialogue around national cohesion and regional integration. His call for Nyanza to play a pivotal role in the government’s development agenda underscores a vision for a more inclusive and united Kenya.
