Former Ramogi FM Manager and current Homa Bay County Chief of Staff, Charles Odhiambo, has dismissed rampant online rumors alleging he was attacked, hospitalized, or even dead, calling them outright falsehoods.

Speaking in a phone interview on Ramogi TV’s Kaka Wanene morning show, Odhiambo assured the public he was safe and sound, currently at Yaya Center overseeing repairs on his car.

“I’ve heard people saying I’m dead or in ICU. Do I sound like someone with a swollen mouth?” he quipped, urging the media to verify facts before spreading misinformation.

He linked the false claims to political opponents trying to discredit Governor Gladys Wanga’s administration, emphasizing her successes—including Homa Bay’s stellar KCSE performance and upcoming high-profile events like ODM’s 20th anniversary, Madaraka Day, and the Devolution Conference.

“There are people trying to divert attention. But I’m happy you reached out—it shows you care,” Odhiambo said.

Slamming social media users who spread fake news, he urged for more responsible online discourse.

“Social media is powerful but dangerous. Let’s use it for meaningful discussions,” he added.

The remarks come amid viral claims that Odhiambo was attacked by goons allegedly sent by Governor Wanga’s husband over infidelity accusations—allegations he did not directly address in the interview.
