Kenneth Lusaka has dismissed all members of the Bungoma County Executive Committee, alongside the County Attorney and County Secretary, in a dramatic overhaul of his administration.

In a press statement issued to media houses on Thursday, April 9, the governor said the officials had been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. He noted the decision was made in good faith and in the broader public interest, aimed at enhancing efficiency and safeguarding the integrity of county institutions.

“All members of the County Executive Committee, the County Attorney, and the County Secretary have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. The decision has been taken in good faith and in the broader public interest, to facilitate the efficient functioning of the county government and to uphold the integrity of its institutions,” the statement read in part.

Lusaka indicated that further communication on interim arrangements and new appointments will be made in due course, in accordance with the law.

He said the move is part of a wider effort to reorganize the Bungoma County executive and improve service delivery and development outcomes for residents.
