Kenyans have been urged to disregard political propaganda aimed at discrediting President William Ruto’s administration.

Speaking in Nyando Sub-county during the burial of the mother of Kabonyo Kanyagwal MCA Peter Oiko, Interior Principal Secretary Dr Raymond Omollo defended the President’s track record, saying Ruto remains firmly on course to fulfill the promises he made during the 2022 election campaign.

“A time has come that as a country we must be able to speak truth to each other,” said Dr Omollo. “If the President made commitments, which he did, and we all know those commitments, and he is delivering on those commitments, so what else are we being told?”

He accused a section of political leaders of peddling lies for selfish gain, even as evidence of progress is visible across the country.

Omollo said the re-election of President Ruto in 2027 should be a priority for all Kenyans who believe in unity and national development, adding that the Head of State has demonstrated commitment to transforming lives.

“As a community, we are not con people. We must return the love to the President for what he has done for us,” Omollo said, urging the Luo community to acknowledge and appreciate the government’s support.

Highlighting developments in the Nyanza region under Ruto’s administration, the PS said the area now stands as a shining example of inclusive governance.

He cited advancements in housing, healthcare, food security, SME growth, and the digital economy as key pillars of the President’s development agenda.

“Before President Ruto took over, only 5 million Kenyans were benefiting from the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). Today, we have 25.9 million Kenyans registered under the Social Health Authority (SHA),” Omollo noted.

The PS affirmed that the President is not leaving any region behind and is laying a foundation to secure Kenya’s future for generations to come.
