Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has expressed confidence that President William Ruto will secure a second term in the 2027 General Election, arguing that the administration’s extensive development agenda across the country has laid a strong foundation for his re-election bid.
Speaking on Friday at Ober Boys High School in Kabondo Kasipul Constituency, Homa Bay County, Omollo said the Kenya Kwanza administration has ensured that development projects are equitably distributed across all regions, regardless of political affiliation.
He maintained that investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and security are already transforming livelihoods and will ultimately influence how Kenyans vote in 2027.
“The re-election of President William Ruto in 2027 will be pegged on the development projects that have reached every corner of the country,” Omollo said. “Our focus has been on delivering services to all Kenyans, and the results are visible in every region.”
The Interior PS said the government has deliberately prioritized equitable resource allocation to ensure no county or community is left behind.
He noted that all key sectors have received adequate budgetary support, enabling the implementation of projects aimed at improving access to quality education, better healthcare services, improved road networks and increased agricultural productivity.
Omollo singled out the Luo Nyanza region, saying the government has invested heavily in projects that directly address the needs of local communities.
He cited ongoing improvements in schools, expansion of road infrastructure, support for farmers and enhanced healthcare services as evidence of the administration’s commitment to inclusive development.
“Across the four counties of Luo Nyanza, we have witnessed significant investment in sectors that matter most to our people,” he said. “From teachers in our schools and better roads to healthcare facilities and agricultural programmes, the government has demonstrated that development knows no political boundaries.”
The Principal Secretary also predicted that the Luo community would rally behind President Ruto in the next General Election, saying the region should seize what he described as an opportunity to work closely with the national government for accelerated development.
“As a Luo community, the 2027 General Election should not be another lost opportunity,” Omollo said. “Our people should support leadership that is delivering tangible development and improving the lives of ordinary Kenyans.”
He urged residents to ignore politicians who, he claimed, were spreading negative narratives about the government’s performance. Instead, he called on experienced political leaders to provide constructive guidance and encourage unity rather than divisive politics.
“We ask our senior political leaders to give the community clear direction instead of misleading the people,” he said. “Politics should unite us around development rather than create unnecessary divisions.”
Omollo further assured Kenyans that the Ministry of Interior remains committed to safeguarding lives and property through strengthened security operations across the country.
He said security agencies are working around the clock to maintain peace and create an environment that supports economic growth and development.
The remarks come as political leaders continue positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election, with development emerging as one of the key issues expected to shape campaigns across the country.
