A deadly road accident claimed at least four lives on Monday night in Kambi Awendo, Koru, after Nyaugenya bus collided head-on with a truck.
The bus, traveling from Lwanda Kotieno in Siaya County to Nairobi, crashed at 11:30 p.m., leaving several passengers injured. The wounded were rushed to St. Vincent De Paul, Koru Mission, and Muhoroni Sub-County hospitals for treatment.
Chaos erupted at the scene as looters swarmed the wreckage, prompting police to use tear gas to disperse the crowd. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash as families grieve their loved ones.
