Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamita has commended President William Ruto for delivering on development promises made to the Nyanza region during his previous visits. Speaking on Sunday during the groundbreaking ceremony for Miruya Police Station in Central Kanyamkago Ward, Nyamita praised the President’s commitment to progress.
“The President has remained a truthful leader. All that he promised is moving on well, and we are not complaining,” the MP stated, highlighting completed and ongoing projects, including road upgrades, hospital expansions, and the delivery of a school bus.

Nyamita emphasized the region’s support for President Ruto’s development agenda, saying it was encouraging to see promises materialize.
“The Luo community is pleased with this government and stands to benefit even further,” he added, pledging continued support for the administration.
Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo, who presided over the event, urged leaders and the Luo community to focus on unity and development.
“As a community, we must sit together and address matters affecting us for proper interventions,” he said, stressing the need to put political differences aside for a brighter future.

Dr. Omollo called out leaders who thrive on political violence, urging them to promote cohesion instead. “Let’s not indulge in politics of hate or set our youth against one another to fight—it’s wrong,” he said.
Both leaders underscored the importance of the government’s broad-based approach, advocating for a collaborative effort to enhance the lives of locals and build a cohesive community.
