In a heartwarming Easter charity drive, RXM Creatives, a US-based multinational, has provided essential support to more than 100 vulnerable families in Kisumu’s informal Manyatta estate. The initiative targeted the elderly, people with disabilities, and those facing hardship, offering them a much-needed respite during the festive season.

Speaking to the media on Monday, RXM representative for Kisumu service station, Pauline Okomba, emphasized that the charity was an opportunity to share the Easter spirit with those most in need.
“I am doing this charity on behalf of RXM to ensure that their Easter is joyful. We know how important it is to give back to the community, and we wanted to ensure that the elderly, vulnerable, and disabled could celebrate the resurrection of Christ,” Okomba said.

Okomba further explained that RXM, a creative online platform founded in the US in 2013, is committed to improving lives, not just for the youth, but for all people.
“We aim to offer job opportunities to the unemployed and address the financial struggles faced by young people,” she added.

RXM operates across all 47 counties in Kenya, offering a simple, user-friendly platform that allows individuals to start earning immediately through their smartphones.
Charles Odongo, Chief of West Kolwa Location, expressed gratitude to RXM for its focus on the vulnerable, disabled, and elderly, encouraging local youth to seize the opportunity to join RXM and earn a living.
“I appreciate RXM’s corporate responsibility in thinking of those in need,” Odongo remarked.

Youth member Chris Isaac also praised the initiative, calling it a lifeline for jobless youth in Kisumu.
“The RXM platform provides an immediate way for us to start earning and pay our bills,” he said, a sentiment echoed by fellow youth, Masden Odhiambo, who described how RXM has helped him manage his expenses.

However, the charity drive also shed light on some pressing needs. Okoth, a disabled resident of Manyatta Slums, appealed to RXM for assistance in obtaining a more movable wheelchair and starting a small business to avoid begging. “Thank you, RXM, for the Easter goodies. But we also need mobility and opportunities to live independently,” Okoth shared, highlighting the challenges faced by people with disabilities.

RXM’s Kisumu office, located at Kona-Legion in Manyatta Slums along the Kisumu-Kibos road, continues to serve as a hub for empowerment and opportunity. Through this initiative, RXM Creatives has once again demonstrated its commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Kenya’s most vulnerable citizens.
