Safarilink Aviation Limited has restored its mid-morning flight service between Kisumu Airport and Wilson Airport in Nairobi from November 1, 2026, with an additional service from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) commencing November 10, 2026. The move will give travellers between the two cities greater flexibility and an alternative to the early-morning departure.

The move is expected to benefit passengers who find early-morning travel challenging, particularly those who would prefer more time to rest before beginning their journey to Nairobi.
Speaking on Monday, November 2,2026, Safarilink Commercial Manager Rose Kiget said the service had previously been suspended as the airline prioritised capacity on other routes during the high season. The decision to restore the flight follows the continued demand for a more flexible travel schedule on the Kisumu–Nairobi route.
“The return of the mid-morning flight is a response to the needs of our customers. We recognise that not everyone finds it convenient to travel early in the morning. This service gives passengers more time to rest before travelling, making their journeys more comfortable and convenient,” said Kiget.
She added that the restoration was also a recognition of the loyalty and continued support Safarilink has received from Kisumu and the wider Nyanza and Western Kenya regions.
By operating from both Wilson Airport and JKIA, Safarilink will offer a combined 25 flights per week, making it easier for passengers to choose flight times and departure points that best suit their schedules.

Safarilink Kisumu Airport Manager Bwa Frazier Okune said the airline remained committed to improving the travel experience of Western People.
“We are ready to serve the people of Kisumu and the wider region even better. Our commitment is to provide convenient air travel at competitive prices, with discounted fares available throughout the year,” said Okune.
He encouraged travellers to take advantage of Safarilink’s services when planning their trips between Kisumu and Nairobi, noting that the airline was keen to strengthen its relationship with customers across the region.
