Babu Owino confirmed he has contacted Aoko’s family, but no information has surfaced about her whereabouts.

Aoko Otieno has been missing for days. I have reached out to her family members and close friends, but no one knows where she is!” he posted.

Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Faith Odhiambo also acknowledged the situation, calling for any information and urging that Aoko be released if being held. Odhiambo emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law, stating, “Kenya is our home; let’s ensure every person can enjoy their rights fully.”

Aoko, known for her ‘hard-hitting’ social media posts criticizing the Kenya Kwanza administration, was previously arrested and charged in August under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act. The charges included publishing false information and cyber harassment, but she was later released on bail.
