AFC Leopards fans are growing increasingly frustrated with head coach Thomas Trucha, blaming him for the team’s continuous poor performances. The supporters have issued a stern warning, threatening to call for his dismissal if he fails to win the upcoming match against Mara Sugar over the weekend.
Despite AFC Leopards currently sitting at No. 4 on the Kenya Premier League table with 10 points, the fans feel that the team is underperforming and not living up to its potential. In a letter seen by The Kenyan Tabloid, they expressed their dissatisfaction with the 47-year-old Czech national’s leadership, stating that they have been monitoring his performance, which they claim falls far below expectations.
We have consistently monitored your performance, and it has become clear that the results are not satisfactory and have failed to meet the team’s expectations,” the letter reads.
The fans also acknowledged that AFC Leopards’ management, NEC, had already held discussions with Trucha regarding the ongoing poor results. However, they insisted their letter serves as an official warning to the tactician.
“We are reliably informed that your employer, NEC, has already discussed this matter with you. Therefore, we are hereby sending this official written warning to you,” the letter continued.
In their message, the fans made it clear that they will demand Trucha’s immediate sacking if there is no significant improvement in performance, urging him to take the issue seriously ahead of the crucial match.
